The Dolly Varden Copper Gold Project
Encore has acquired a 50% interest in 30 claims at the Dolly Varden Copper Gold Property located in North Eastern Nevada, USA. With mineralization over an estimated 5 sq. kilometres the property resides in a similar geological setting to neighboring giants Bingham and Robinson mines.
The ‘discovery drill hole’ intersected 75 feet of .66% Copper and assayed up to 5.23% Cu and 1.06 oz/ton Ag recovered from drill core.15 holes were drilled in Phase One of their continuing exploration program intersecting significant Copper mineralization in every hole.
Regional Commodities include: Copper, Gold, Silver, Rare Earths, Zinc, Molybdenum, Lead, Thorium and Uranium. 75 miles south of the Dolly Varden property Copper occurrence is Quadra’s Robinson Mine which produces over 100 million lbs. Copper and more than 50 oz. gold yearly at grades of 0.6% Cu and 0.25 g/t Au.
Geo-chemical surface samples assayed up to 33 ounces/ton Silver, 9% Copper, 20% Zinc indicating a possible subsurface mineralized porphyry intrusive structure.
A deep 3-D Geo Mag IP survey completed shows a strong chargeability anomaly which will assist in target selection for the planned Phase Two drill program. Exploration planned for Dolly Varden by Encore and other companies on adjacent claims will further efforts to delineate source of area mineralization.
A multi-million tonne porphyry system has been suggested as the host body for the discovery, the source of which will be the focus of the planned Phase Two drill program designed to test deeper and wider extensions of the mineralization in an effort to locate the source of the Copper mineralization.
